Life on the road had lost its shine, so Jeremy opened his first café in 2000 in Huddersfield, UK. A few years (and a second café) later, he began roasting his own beans under the name Bean Brothers Coffee Company. Over the next two decades, Jeremy dove deep into specialty coffee: educating at universities, judging national barista competitions, and writing for industry publications. In 2017, he relocated with his Canadian wife, Hannah, and their kids to Qualicum Beach, bought the French Press café, and (not surprisingly) brought the roaster with him.
